Mk 6:30-34 The Apostles gathered together with Jesus and reported all they had done and taught. He said to them,“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” People were coming and going in great numbers, and they had no opportunity even to eat. So they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place. People saw them leaving and many came to know about it. They hastened there on foot from all the towns and arrived at the place before them. When Jesus disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things. They were like sheep without a shepherd. The people needed the loving guide of the Lord. His heart was moved with pity for them. I am lost without the Lord. I am glad that the heart of Jesus is filled with love for me. I would not know what to do in life without that love and guidance. My life in Christ is my whole way my whole path without that I would be a ship without a rudder or a lost sheep. The Word of God and the love of Christ are my rock that I cling to throught every storm that arises in life and through the sunny days too. Jesus would go to a deserted place to rest and pray. I need to remember to do that myself to renew myself in God as a part of my daily ways.
