January 25, 2005 Mk 16:15-18

Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them:"Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. They will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Those who believe and are baptized will be saved. Demons will be driven out and the sick will be healed. Proclaim the Gospel to every creature.

I have to say that many times, I try to live the Gospel and show that I am Christian in my acts, but I do not proclaim the Gospel as often as I could. I know that there are many modern demons that people have, especially anxieties and psychological ills. To heal in the name of God and be an instrument of God is a simple matter of faith but becomes more complex in the living out daily. I have prayed for healing for patients that I cared for as a nurse and seen some amazing recoveries.
