Remain in my love

Jn 15:9-11 Jesus said to his disciples: “As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. “I have told you this so that my joy might be in you and your joy might be complete.” Remain in my love...Jesus teaches that to love God there is a call to remain in the love of Christ. It is a joy that by giving there is a return to the giver that makes them complete. Without love I am nothing and with it the fullness of my being is brought forth. It is a simple teaching but the living of the lesson not always easy in the fray of life's daily demands and a multitude unforeseen challenges to be a peaceful and loving being. The love is the constant to hold always in my heart and when my reaction to anything is not loving to return to the Word of Christ to remain in love. I pray this morning that this Word dwells with me throughout the day in my heart and mind and all of my words and acts.
