Be not Afraid
Easter Monday. Jesus appeared to Mary of Magdala and said "Be not afraid".
The message is clear and repeated by Jesus throughout the Gospels.
Have courage, do God's will, be faithful, God loves you.
Have courage to speak the truth, to love, to drink the cup God offers, to follow the path God has chosen. Love one another as I have loved you.
The freedom from fear is a fruit of a faith filled life. This freedom does not come easily.
Courage is required in common daily events.
The courage to be truthful.
The courage to let the light of faith shine.
The courage to follow God's way and not that of the world.
It is a daily lesson and reminder "Be not afraid."
